Cutting Global Conference Cost in Half
Network Appliance, a world leader in unified storage solutions for data-intensive enterprises, originally planned their Annual NetApp® Global SE Conference as an intensive, multi-week event. But this format was costly and time-consuming for busy engineers. Network Appliance wanted to find an efficient way to redesign the meeting into a single-week, multi-track conference while still providing all of the information and knowledge attendees needed and expected.
Altus Learning Systems helped Network Appliance completely redesign their event by capturing the entire 35 hours of presentations, product demonstrations and speeches and making it all available on-demand to both scheduled attendees and individuals unable to attend in person. This entire program was implemented within a few weeks, from planning to delivery. By creating multiple, concurrent tracks and helping attendees view presentations online that they couldn’t see in person, Network Appliance cut their annual conference cost in half. Furthermore, by leveraging Altus’ unique video search engine, all video presentations were searchable down to each presenter’s spoken word, letting users instantly find the exact knowledge they needed to maximize their productivity. Altus further gave the company an easy-to-use, unified format for all their on-demand knowledge accessible on an ongoing basis.
