Altus Helps Direct Selling Companies to Drive Revenue, On-Board and Retain new Hires, and Build Internal Social Networking Platforms
Altus Sales Xcellerator enables companies to capture critical sales knowledge like TiVo, make it searchable like Google, and deliver it like YouTube – but better! Altus digitally records people sharing their knowledge in a variety of settings – annual meetings, regional training seminars, webinars to conference calls – transcribes it verbatim, synchronizes it with slides and makes it all searchable and accessible down to the spoken word in a hosted, rich-media portal.

Can't Find the Information You Need? Try This
Several organizations have turned to Altus Learning Systems' Sales Xcellerator, a Web 2.0 application that captures sales-critical knowledge wherever it is being shared, including sales presentations, conference calls, Webinars, and conferences. The information is transcribed verbatim and synchronized with video and slides. It is then searchable down to the spoken word. In other words, say a sales rep wanted to find out what cost savings their product or service had provided to certain types of customers.

Tradeshow
Week Highlights Altus Technology
Altus Learning Systems, in partnership with George P. Johnson, pitched
a product that could make getting to an early-morning conference session
on time a thing of the past. Altus' Xtreme Knowledge Sharing Platform
Release 5.0 allows attendees not only to watch conference sessions post-show
online, but also to access accompanying slides that they can organize
themselves using a searchable keyword database mixed in with Web 2.0
capabilities, such as wikis and blogs.

Altus Extreme Knowledge Sharing
Think of YouTube gone corporate, powered by TiVO and indexed by Google search. Think searching a DVD by indexed keywords rather than movie scenes... If these sound interesting, check out Altus Learning Systems (altuscorp.com) and see how corporate events, invigorated by social networking video presentations, can impart more information faster and more accurately than ever.

Enterprise 2.0: Hot Videos
No, not that kind of video -- these are hot-off-the-press videos of the keynote sessions at the Enterprise 2.0 conference.
I stopped by the Altus display
at the trade show after the sessions completed today and saw a bit
more about the technology behind what's serving these up. First of
all, less than 24 hours after a live session, they have the video
up here, complete with a fully searchable transcript, the "talking head",
and the slides, all synchronized. If that weren't hot enough, note
that there's an RSS feed icon on the page; click on that, copy the
URL for the vodcasts, paste it into iTunes, and you'll be watching
the slides with audio on your video iPod.
